Clarksville Police report Vehicle Accident on Ashland City Road

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Monday morning, November 19th, 2018 around 9:34am, Clarksville Police report a 52 year old man driving a Chevy pickup was traveling south on Ashland City Road (41A Bypass) when a Hyundai driven by 21 year old male pulled out of Riverwood Place to make a left to go north on Ashland City Road (41A Bypass) and failed to yield to the oncoming pickup.

The pickup collided with the Hyundai.

The pickup went off the left side of the roadway down an embankment, rolled over multiple times, and landed upright at the bottom of the embankment.

The pickup driver had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken by ambulance to Tennova Healthcare with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Hyundai was uninjured.

The 21 year old Hyundai driver was cited for Failure to Use Reasonable Care and Expired Tag.

The lead investigator is Officer Greaves.
