“I would like to thank Will for the time and effort spent turning Austin Peay football into a competitive program,” Harrison said.

“Coach Healy established a foundation on which we can build and continue to improve upon into the future. As I’ve said before, we have a tremendous group of football student-athletes who will continue to excel in both the classroom and on the field. We will begin a national search immediately to identify the next head football coach of our program and keep Austin Peay Football moving on an upward trajectory,” stated Harrison.

Healy inherited a team that won one game in the previous three seasons prior to his arrival and led the program to 13 victories over the last two seasons. He earned the Eddie Robinson Award as the top head coach at the FCS level in 2017.

Joshua Eargle has been named interim head coach while the university conducts a national search for its 20th head football coach.
