Clarksville Police reports several Weather Related Crashes

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police report that there were ten reported weather related crashes between 6:00am-8:00am this morning, December 5th, 2018.

Most of them occurred as a result of hitting icy patches on overpasses or bridges. There were no serious injuries sustained in any of the crashes.

There was a patrol car which was stationary, unoccupied for traffic control when another vehicle hit ice and crashed into it.

The crashes from this morning were at: Rossview Road, Exit 8 overpass, Dunbar Cave Road (bridge) near Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, two at Wilma Rudolph Boulevard/101st Division Parkway overpass (one involved five vehicles), and two at 101st Division Parkway and Fort Campbell Boulevard overpass (patrol car was hit in one of the crashes).

Wilma Rudolph Boulevard/101st Division Parkway had the eastbound lanes shut down for a about an hour and the complete intersection at 101st Division Parkway and Fort Campbell Boulevard was closed for almost two hours.
