Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department’s New Providence Pool, the only public indoor pool in the City of Clarksville, is open and offering new aquatic classes and event for its winter indoor season.
Aqua Cycling
This new exercise class involves pedaling against the resistance of the water on submerged aqua bikes. The buoyancy of the water reduces the impact on participants’ muscles and joints and provides a full-body workout.
Four-week sessions are offered monthly from January through April from 5:30pm-6:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Cost is $50.00 per 4-week session.

Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) Self-Rescue Swimming Lessons
This new swimming program offers individualized swimming instruction five days per week, Monday through Friday, for 10 minutes each day for an average of 6 weeks to infants & young children ages 6 months to 6 years old With a focus on safe, customized lessons by certified instructors, ISR’s survival swimming lessons emphasize health, ongoing program evaluations and parent education to deliver the most effective and safest results in the industry.
Cost is $65.00 per week per child and $60.00 per week for each additional child.

About New Providence Pool
New Providence Pool is at 168 Cunningham Lane, off Fort Campbell Boulevard. The pool offers swim lessons, water fitness classes, lap swim, and open recreational swimming through May 5th, 2019.
The facility also offers a children’s pool area, a climbing wall, inflatables, diving board, and a concession stand to purchase drinks and snacks. An ADA accessible hydraulic lift chair allows those with special needs to enjoy the pool.
