Clarksville Police Department reports Changes to Hauler Schedule, Potential Traffic Interruption

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department just received a notification about changes to the movement of the beams for the McClure Bridge.

The first movement will still take place on February 1st, 2019. The changes could mean more of an impact to traffic flow.

The company is now going to bring four 130ft beams on separate haulers instead of the two originally planned.

There will be possible traffic delays February 1st, for haulers to move beams to McClure bridge construction site.

Also, the time frame has changed for arrival in the area.

The estimated arrival time in the area will be around 2:00pm, The route will remain the same as previously stated.

Also, most likely, there will be an increase in the amount of time the intersection at Riverside Drive and Cumberland Drive (Hwy 48/13), in all directions, will need to be shut down.

Clarksville Police would like to give you more concrete information, but we are giving you the most up to date information that has been provided by the contractor.

Tomorrow, as the Clarksville Police Department receives better updates from the contractor and their travel status, we’ll put them out as quickly as possible.

Once again, please try to avoid the area and find alternate routes.
