Dodging the Roadkill: Chronic Pain and Riding Motorcycles

Dodging the Roadkill - A Biker's JourneyClarksville, TN – Chronic pain affects millions of people.  Normal everyday people.  By no fault of our own, and the older we get, stuff just breaks down, or wears out.

I’ve had two hip replacements, two wrist surgeries, and I deal with rheumatoid arthritis.  I didn’t ask for it, but that’s where I am in my ripe old age.  With titanium in my hips and my joints affected by the arthritis, it can get uncomfortable.

I don’t complain about it because there are MANY people who struggle with more serious issues, even life threatening illnesses and I’m blessed to be relatively healthy at this stage of my life.

But chronic pain is just that.  It’s a PAIN.

Chronic Pain.
Chronic Pain.

Many of you have shared your military injuries, or accidents with me.  Some of you have told me that it makes riding your motorcycle more of a challenge than you would like.

When Tylenol, Ibuprofen, and Aleve no longer do the trick, many of us depend of a medically supervised pain management protocol just to improve the quality of life.   The media has “bastardized” that treatment and the future looks bleak.  My doctor told me that within five years you won’t be able to get that treatment unless you’re on your deathbed.

I’ve turned to CBD oil and it works for me.  I’m not going to presume it will work for you, but it works for me and I couldn’t be more encouraged.

CBD or Cannabidiol is just one of over 85 cannabinoids that have been identified in the cannabis plant.

CBD is becoming increasingly popular amongst the masses for having a wide scope of benefits, and according to clinical reports and test data, show little to no side effects.

CBD is the main active compound in hemp and unlike THC, it is not psychoactive so it doesn’t make people high.

CTFO - Changing The Future Outcome - CBD Oil

Trust me, I did a LOT of research on getting high in the seventies!

Inside our body, there’s something called the endocannabinoid system with receptors spread throughout the brain and body.  When these receptors are activated, they enable two-way communication between body systems.

Forbes Magazine has stated that the CBD market will become the next billion dollar industry, growing by more than 700% in just the next couple of years.

The cannabis industry is projected to be at 50 billion dollars by 2026.  There are over 23,000 studies that show the benefits of cannabis, backed by an enormous body of scientific research.

I’ve been following this for the last few years, because I always knew that I couldn’t continue to live my life at the hands of a prescription, but the problem was, if you were worried about failing a urine test, you shied away from it.

Late last year during my annual treatment review, my doctor not only agreed to CBD oil, he encouraged it and here I am, happy to share with you that it appears to be working for me.  And it could be an answer to your pain as well.

I’ve only been using it for two weeks and have noticed a huge difference in my pain level.  Especially in my joints.  I’ve tried not to convince myself that it’s working, just because I’m taking it, but it actually is working for me.

Walking through the grocery store the other day I noticed that I had a little extra pep in my step and I wasn’t favoring my hip joints.

When I wake up first thing in the morning, my hands were so stiff, it usually took about five minutes and some hot water to get them loosened up enough just to brush my teeth.

That’s changed, and my goal is to do away with any medication.

I’ve shared a link to the company I use, CTFO, for the purest of products and research.  It’s not cheap, but it’s worth it (to me at least), and there are over 70 products to choose from.  Friends of mine who have dealt with horrific migraines tell me it’s done wonders for them.

Pain should not control your life, and it certainly shouldn’t keep you from riding a motorcycle.  I’ve logged over 100,000 miles in just over three years, and while I’m a little sore at the end of the day, I can get a good night’s rest and be at it again the next morning.

You can also become an associate (no charge) and you don’t have to carry inventory, hold meetings or worry about anything other than sharing your story about the success you’re having.  Plus you get discounts on your purchase.

Once you overcome your apprehension and understand that this IS the future of pain management and improved health, you’ll be glad you took charge of your pain and did something about it.

I was skeptical and cynical for a long time about CBD oil, but no more.  If I can help you in any way, please contact me through my Facebook page, or email me from my website.

Good luck and ride safe AND pain free!
