Clarksville Police reports Vehicle Burglar spotted by Citizen

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – A vehicle burglar was caught after a man was spotted looking into vehicles, and then entered an unlocked vehicle in the parking lot of Hobby Lobby according to Clarksville Police.

Around 2:00pm on February 21st, 2019, police were called to the parking lot of Hobby Lobby, 2708 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, when a couple of citizens spotted a man looking inside of vehicles.

He was seen entering one vehicle which had been left unlocked.

When officers arrived, they located the owner of the vehicle who determined a pink cell phone charging cable was taken from the center console.

The man that entered the vehicle, identified as Michael Hunter, was found inside of Hobby Lobby and the charging cable was in his possession.

Michael Hunter, 38, from Cadiz, KY was booked into Montgomery County Jail and charged with Vehicle Burglary. His bond is set at $15,000.

The lead investigator is Officer Minetos.
