Clarksville Police report Leonard Green with Revoked License Runs After Traffic Crash

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – A man driving on a revoked license involved in a traffic crash was taken in custody by Clarksville Police after a lengthy foot chase.

Clarksville Police Officers responded to a call in the area Highway 12/Elk Drive involving a motor vehicle crash around 7:40am.

A man identified as Leonard Green, driving a Mazda was traveling on south Highway 12, approached stopped traffic, couldn’t stop in time, and collided with the rear of a Ford driven by a woman in her 30s.

He fled from the vehicle after the crash. Witnesses on scene gave officers a description of Green and a direction of travel.

Officers chased the suspect on foot and took him in custody in a creek bed near East Old Ashland City Road after chasing him for approximately a mile.

The female driver of Ford suffered some discomfort at the scene but was not taken to the hospital. Leonard Green, 28 was medically cleared, taken to the Montgomery County Jail, and charged with: Failure to Exercise due Care, Driving on Revoked License, Evading Arrest, Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Damage, and No Proof of Insurance. His bond is set at Bond: $5,000.

The investigators are Officer Koski and Officer Greaves.
