The Governors (7-0) have not played since February 15th against IUPUI, where they thrashed the Jaguars by a 7-0 scoreline.

Three players, Lidia Yanes Garcia, Claudia Yanes Garcia, and Tatiana Lopez are undefeated this spring in singles, with each sporting a 7-0 record. Helena Kuppig also boasts a 6-1 record this spring in singles.

The Govs have also been excelling in doubles, with Lopez and freshman Honoka Nakanishi on a four-match win streak at No. 2 doubles. The team of Kuppig and Danielle Morris are also on a three-match win streak.

About Kennesaw State

At first glance, the Owls (1-8) of Kennesaw State may not seem like much of a challenge based on their record. Sure, last season the Govs defeated them 5-2 even after losing No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles by default, but the Owls have played some tough competition.

They have played four Southeastern Conference opponents, losing all of those matches, but garnered their first win of the season in their last match against the team that was picked to tie for first with APSU in the Ohio Valley Conference Predicted Order of Finish, Murray State.

The Govs stay on the road to take on Stetson for a 10:00am, Monday match. The two programs have never met as the Govs hope to still be unbeaten heading in. The Hatters (7-3) have a decent record, but their strength of schedule is not nearly the same as Kennesaw State’s. However, they have won their past three matches, with two coming on the road.

Kennesaw State will provide live stats for both the men’s and women’s matches as well.
