Clarksville to host F2 Con Gaming Convention for Second Year

Visit Clarksville TennesseeClarksville, TN – Visit Clarksville, CDE Lightband and Clarksville Parks and Recreation will host Clarksville’s second competitive gaming tournament, F2 Con, Thursday-Saturday, April 18th-20th at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center.

The three-day competition offers tournament play, casual gaming, and fun for all ages with retro gaming, vendors and live streaming. All gaming will take place on CDE Lightband’s gigabit internet.

Registration is live on the F2 Con website at f2con.com.

Online registration through March 10th is $40.00 per competitor for the weekend, plus $5.00 per game. Competitors who register online by March 15th will receive one free game. Online registration beginning March 11th and door registration is $45.00 per competitor, plus $5.00 per game. Admission for spectators is $5.00 per day online or $7.00 per day at the door.

“We are excited to be a part of the return of F2 Con this year. Using our 10 Gig capabilities for the gaming event is something that we think not only benefits the players but showcases the power of what we offer to the area,” stated Brian Taylor, CDE Lightband general manager.

Doors open Thursday, April 18th at 5:00pm with gaming from 6:00pm-10:00pm; Friday and Saturday doors open at Noon, with gaming from 1:00pm-10:00pm.

F2 Con 19 will have nine featured tournaments with a $10,000 pot bonus across various titles like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Tekken 7, Rocket League, League of Legends, Fortnite, Call of Duty Black Ops 4, Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds, and more!

Players who don’t want to join the stiff competition, can jump into Open Play events including FortNite, Call of Duty, Rocket League and many others. Open play for the weekend is $40.00.

“More than 900 participants and spectators attended F2 Con last year – some from as far away as St. Louis and Chicago,” said Visit Clarksville Executive Director Theresa Harrington. “This is an event that gets the attention of students and young adults from across the southeast.”

“We are excited to offer this recreational opportunity to Clarksville’s teen and young adult population.,” said Clarksville Parks and Recreation Director Jennifer Letourneau.
