Clarksville Police reports Scooter Accident sends Juvenile to Hospital

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police report a 14 year old female was transported by ambulance to a Nashville hospital, with undetermined injuries, after being hit by a truck while riding a Razor scooter,

Around 4:42pm, Monday, March 11th, 2019 three teenagers were crossing Wilma Rudolph Boulevard on Razor scooters. The juveniles had crossed the southbound lanes of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard and were crossing in between the two stopped northbound vehicle lanes.

One of the juveniles entered the northbound right turn lane into the path of an oncoming pickup, driven by a man in his 50s, turning from Wilma Rudolph Boulevard onto Dunbar Cave Road.

The scooter rider appeared in front of the pickup so quickly, there was insufficient time for the driver to avoid a collision with the scooter.

The investigation is ongoing. Officer Hagewood is the lead investigator.
