APSU Women's GolfClarksville, TN – After starting last week with a successful Florida trip, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) women’s golf is back in the Sunshine State for the Citrus Challenge, which begins Sunday in Sorrento at RedTail Golf Course.

The par-72 course measures out at 5,929 yards and will host nine schools and 55 total players this week.

The Govs will be joined by a pair of Ohio Valley Conference foes in Murray State and host Morehead State, with Cleveland State, Dartmouth, Georgia State, Keiser, Lipscomb and Siena presenting a well-rounded field.

This is the fourth straight year this event has called RedTail home, and 11th year in a row the Eagles have hosted a spring tournament. For the Govs, this marks the second straight year they’ve made the trek to Sorrento; last season, inclement weather shortened the event to two rounds, with Reagan Greene earning runner-up honors to pace the Govs to a fourth-place finish.

Greene will again play a role in the lineup this week, slotting in as the No. 3. The Govs will take a lineup based on the top five finishers from the Spring Break Shootout, which wrapped Tuesday. That means reigning OVC Women’s Golfer of the Week Taylor Dedmen will remain at the head of the lineup, followed by junior Meghann Stamps, Greene, and seniors Taylor and Ashton Goodley to round out the lineup. All four of the upperclassmen represented the Govs at this event a year ago, with Greene and Ashton Goodley in the top-20.

Round One gets underway 8:33am (CT); the Govs will be paired with Georgia State and Lipscomb and tee off on Hole No. 1. There will be no live scoring for this event; a complete recap will be available following each day of competition at LetsGoPeay.com.
