Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsDurham, NC – Teamworks, the leading athlete engagement platform for collegiate and professional organizations, is pleased to announce a partnership with the Austin Peay State University (APSU) athletics department.  The Governors will streamline logistics for student-athletes, coaches and staff through Teamworks.

Clarksville Police report Suspicious Person Call ends up with Two Juvenile Burglars being Caught

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police received a suspicious person call that resulted in two juvenile burglars being caught.

On Tuesday, March 19th, 2019 around 11:45am, officers were called to R.S Bradley Boulevard/Cunningham Lane about two juveniles walking with something wrapped up in a trash bag.

When the officers arrived and the juveniles saw them, they immediately fled on foot.

Clarksville Police report Four Juveniles cause over $300,000 in damage to Eubanks Office

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police report four juveniles, ages 10, 13, 14, and 16 were responsible for causing over $300,000 in damage to Eubanks business office at 2994 Eubanks Drive.

The damage was wide spread and varied. The windows were broken, appliances destroyed, damage to the furniture, fixtures, and plumbing. The carpeting inside the building was damaged, spray painted graffiti on the walls, and fire extinguishers had been discharged.

In effort to authenticate Legros discovery, APSU student finds connections

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Earlier this semester, Austin Peay junior Katherine Tolleson discovered two drypoint creations by famed artist Alphonse Legros in the University’s Permanent Collection.

Tolleson and APSU gallery director Michael Dickins started investigating clues on the drypoint’s paper, such as watermarks, signatures, titles and impression numbers. Legros’ signature was clear. And on one of the prints, titled “The Sailor,” Legros writes the image is one of only 10 imprints.

Clarksville Gas and Water reports West Dunbar Cave Road Lane Closure

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Gas and Water Department has closed the westbound lane on West Dunbar Cave Road from Wilma Rudolph Boulevard to Peterson Lane to repair a water service line.

Flaggers are in place to direct traffic to use the turning lane; however, motorists may wish to seek an alternate route to avoid traffic congestion.
