Additionally, there was burnt wiring which may have occurred as a result of the juveniles attempting to destroy the surveillance system.

The juveniles were identified and detained on Sunday evening after they were spotted by Detective Pendarvis near the damaged building.

Initially, the juveniles ran from the detective, but he coordinated with patrol officers to form a perimeter around the area, eventually taking the juveniles in custody.

The investigation and interviews by Detective Delle revealed the juveniles had entered the building on more than one occasion, they were bored, and had “flipped the place upside down”. The 13 and 14 year old females were charged with Felony Vandalism.

The 16 year old male left his residence before he could be served with the juvenile petition for Felony Vandalism. The 10 year old was not charged due to his age. The juveniles were left in the custody of their families.

The damage assessment is incomplete, so the costs are expected to far exceed $300,000.
