Clarksville Police report 18 Year Old Man Shot, Paralyzed

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are investigating a shooting which took place in the area of 83 Cedarcrest Drive on Saturday, March 23rd, 2019, around 6:30pm which left an 18 year old man paralyzed.

When officers arrived they found the 18 year old on the ground with a gunshot wound to the back. He was transported to Nashville by LifeFlight and is in stable condition.

The preliminary investigation indicates the 18 year old was involved in a physical confrontation and at some point during the fight was shot in the back.

Also, based on information gathered so far, the victim and suspect were not total strangers.

Police are following leads and want to talk to two men that may have information related to the shooting: Mark Broaden Jr., age 19 and Melvin Thomas, age 20.
