Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Officer Alan Greenman, 32, had a single vehicle traffic crash while responding to a carjacking which occurred in the 2000 block of Robin Drive around 11:30pm, Thursday, March 28th, 2019.

An unknown caller requested the delivery of a pizza to a Robin Drive address. When the female driver in her 20s arrived and exited her 2016 Ford Escape, she was approached by two men, one man from the front and the other from the back.

The man at her back pushed a blunt object to the back of her head and told her not to move. The men took her pizza and then stole her car and headed north toward Green Acres Drive. The woman was unharmed.

Officer Greenman, one of the officers responding to the area, was driving north on Fort Campbell Boulevard in a marked patrol car with the emergency lights and siren activated.

While initiating a pass of a vehicle, the driver started to move into the officer’s lane of travel causing the officer to take immediate evasive action to avoid contact with the other vehicle. Officer Greenman left the paved northbound lanes off the right side of the roadway near Fort Campbell Boulevard and Tobacco Road, striking some obstacles before finally coming to rest in the grassy area of 2201 Fort Campbell Boulevard.

Officer Greenman was taken by Life flight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is in stable condition and being treated for his injuries. He has been with the department a little over a year.

The carjacked, 2016 Ford Escape was located a short time later, unoccupied at the apartments at 65 Durrett Drive. Police are following some good leads.
