10 Austin Peay State University students graduate from inaugural Foundations of Minority Leadership program

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – This January, Austin Peay State University (APSU) unveiled a new leadership course designed specifically for African American men in the Achievers and Scholars Mentoring Initiative on campus, and on April 23rd, 2019 the University honored the first 10 graduates of the course during a special ceremony in the APSU Wilbur N. Daniel African American Cultural Center.

NASA’s Mars InSight Lander records first ever likely Marsquake

NASA - National Aeronautics and Space AdministrationPasadena, CA – NASA’s Mars InSight lander has measured and recorded for the first time ever a likely “marsquake.”

The faint seismic signal, detected by the lander’s Seismic Experiment for Interior Structure (SEIS) instrument, was recorded on April 6th, 2019 the lander’s 128th Martian day, or sol. This is the first recorded trembling that appears to have come from inside the planet, as opposed to being caused by forces above the surface, such as wind. Scientists still are examining the data to determine the exact cause of the signal.

The game may be rescheduled if the teams find a compatible open date.

Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance provides Safety, Consumer Protection Tips ahead of NFL Draft

The Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s golf could have gotten out to the kind of start it enjoyed Monday on the final day of the 2019 Ohio Valley Conference Men’s Golf Championships and really put pressure on eventual champion Jacksonville State.

Tennessee Titans general manager Jon Robinson to lead Draft Efforts

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – This will be Jon Robinson’s fourth draft to lead as Titans general manager.

He was named to the post on January 14th, 2016, and in 2017, controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk added executive vice president to his title.

Robinson selected 23 total players in his first three drafts in Tennessee, and 15 of those picks remain with the club. During the same time period, he has engineered 15 trades and made eight waiver claims (through April 15th, 2019).

The intent of these meetings is to share the overall Master Plan for the site with the public. These plans include facilities on the property for Montgomery County Fire, EMS, EMA, and a firearms training range for the Sheriff’s Office, which is a part of the Fiscal Year 2020 Capital Projects Budget.
