Clarksville Police have arrested Wanted Juvenile Tai Harrell

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police have a wanted juvenile Tai Harrell in custody after negotiators were able to end a lengthy standoff without incident.

On Monday, April 1st, 2019, around 7:34pm, Clarksville Police received an anonymous tip that Tai Harrell had just went inside of a South Senseney Circle residence.

There was very detailed information provided which added credibility to the validity of the call.

Officers responded to the scene and surrounded the house and were able to confirm the anonymous person’s information that Tai Harrell was inside of the residence.

Contact was made with the homeowner, Joy Miller, and consent to enter the residence was denied so a search warrant was obtained.

Numerous attempts to call out Harrell were unsuccessful, but officers could hear a lot of movement occurring inside of the house. Around 9:30pm, the Tactical Unit and Crisis Negotiators were called to the scene. After over fours hours of negotiations Tai Harrell came out of the house on Tuesday, April 2nd, around 1:37am and was taken in custody with incident.

The homeowner, Joy Miller, 39, had active warrants on file unrelated to this incident for: Methamphetamine Violation and Weapon Possession was taken in custody and booked into the Montgomery County Jail with a $15,000 bond (already bonded out).

Tai Harrell, 16, with 24 juvenile petitions of file was transported to a juvenile detention facility.

There was a stolen White Ford Escape, taken March 24th-25th from a Fox Trot Drive residence, found inside of the garage. Also a stolen firearm recovered from a March 3rd-10th, 2019 theft from a Nolen Road apartment.

The investigation is still very active and more charges are possible.
