Clarksville Police look for Suspect, Vehicle involved in Shooting off Fort Campbell Boulevard

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are trying to identify the owner and locate a suspect’s vehicle which was caught on video surveillance. The vehicle is believed to be a 2008-2010 Nissan Altima and has tinted windows.

APSU Beach Volleyball steamrolls UT Martin in doubleheader

APSU Women's VolleyballClarksville, TN –  With a quick home trip, the Austin Peay State University’s beach volleyball team dominated in its doubleheader against UT Martin, 5-0, 4-1, Wednesday afternoon.

Chloe Stitt and Lucy Randall came out hot in the first match in the No. 4 pairing against the Skyhawks’ Jessica Reynolds and Addison Conley, winning in straight sets, 21-15, 21-11.

Clarksville Police release update on Shooting off Fort Campbell Boulevard

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Wednesday, April 3rd, 2019 around 4:15pm, Clarksville Police report that there was an ambulance call to the parking lot of a business at 1887 Fort Campbell Boulevard in reference to a man who had been shot.

When officers arrived, they quickly determined the shooting had occurred on Fort Campbell Boulevard between the 101st Airborne Division Parkway and Ringgold Road and established a crime scene.

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police report Fort Campbell Boulevard southbound (heading toward town) has all lanes closed between Ringgold Road and the 101st Airborne Division Parkway.

Northbound lanes are open so Clarksville Police are trying to alternate north and south traffic flow in the open northbound lanes. Please be patient and if you know an alternate route, take it. CPD are unsure how long this will last.

Clarksville Leaders attend Veterans Affairs Suicide-Prevention Academy

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNWashington, D.C. – Leaders from Clarksville and Middle Tennessee gathered in the nation’s capital last week to continue working on a public health strategy to prevent suicide among soldiers, veterans and their families.

The policy academy was convened by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Health and Human Services’ Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.

Clarksville Police Department has Thirteen Officers graduate from Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On March 28th, 2019, thirteen officers from the Clarksville Police Department graduated from twelve weeks of training at the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy.

CPD wants to congratulate all thirteen officers for successfully graduating the academy. They will now embark on a 14 week of field training program with veteran Field Training Officers to build on the basic law enforcement skills imparted to them at the academy.

Dodging the Roadkill - A Biker's JourneyClarksville, TN – I seem to be able to find inspiration for my posts in the most unlikely places sometimes. 

Today as I was taking off my boots from an afternoon ride, I looked at them and thought, “these things have supported me for a lot of miles.  Oh the stories they could tell.”

While I DID buy a new pair of boots last year, I just keep putting on the old ones because they just feel better and as superstitious as I am, I don’t make many changes in my riding style.  

They’ve been with me since the beginning.  We’ve been together a long time. I couldn’t possibly throw them out.
