Nashville Sounds fall to late Round Rock Express rally, 8-6

Nashville SoundsRound Rock, TX – In a game that was mostly in Nashville’s control, a four-run Round Rock inning in the eighth completed a five-run comeback as the Sounds lose to the Express 8-6.

Round Rock started with a bang in the bottom of the first when Myles Straw led off with a triple. Next up, Derek Fisher hit him in with a single and Round Rock took the early 1-0 lead.

Nashville then had a huge inning in second. Matt Davidson and Danny Santana started by walking followed by a single by Andy Ibanez to load the bases with no outs.

Mark Riggins named acting General Manager at Clarksville Gas and Water

“I have tasked Mark with leading the department for a few months, addressing some of the lingering issues within the department and charting a course of action for the near term,” Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts said. “I have complete faith and trust in Mark and his ability to address customer and employee concerns.”

Clarksville Police report 16 year old Tai Harrell escapes from Rutherford County Juvenile Detention Facility

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police say Tai Harrell, 16 years old had 24 juvenile petitions on file and that was taken in custody in Clarksville has escaped from a juvenile detention facility.

He stole a Silver Toyota Tundra, four door with a Tennessee Temp tag (3 days old) on the truck and it has tinted windows. There was a Springfield 45 cal gun inside of the stolen truck which means he is potentially armed.

Kenwood High School students to hold Dance-A-Thon to help Sick Children, May 11th

Kenwood High SchoolClarksville, TN – This May, Kenwood High School is on a mission to help sick and injured children in Middle Tennessee. To achieve this ambitious goal, the school’s Dance Marathon, a student-led organization, will host a Dance-A-Thon at noon on May 11th, 2019 at the school.

“We are raising funds and awareness through Dance Marathon for our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, which treats children from our area and provides life-saving care to sick and injured kids in need,” Lynda Courtney, Kenwood teacher and event organizer, said. “We need your help to reach our goal for the kids.”

A Dance-A-Thon will be held at Kenwood High School to raise money to help sick and injured children on May 11th.

Clarksville Police Department raised nearly $1600 for Tennessee Special Olympics at Texas Roadhouses’s “Tip A Cop” event

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The citizens of Clarksville opened their hearts and wallets in support of Special Olympics of Tennessee. On Monday, Texas Roadhouses throughout Tennessee opened their doors to host a statewide Tip A Cop at all of their 16 locations to support Tennessee Special Olympics.

Officers were on hand to help the amazing Clarksville Roadhouse staff provide service to their customers to benefit Special Olympics.
