Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has Five graduate from East Tennessee Regional Law Enforcement Academy

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office would like to congratulate Dennis Morgan, Albert Smith, Ryan Stach, Joshua Wilson and Camilla Kent on their graduation from the East Tennessee Regional Law Enforcement Academy in Greenville, Tennessee.

The ten week course prepares students to meet the standards for law enforcement officers established by the Tennessee Peace Officers Standards and Training Commission (POST). The curriculum includes firearms training, defensive and tactical driving, physical defense tactics, understanding terrorism, law enforcement procedures, and introduction to the legal process.

Morgan started his career in law enforcement as a Reserve Deputy in January 2016. Prior to working in law enforcement, he served in the United States Army and retired after 23 years of service.

Smith started his career in law enforcement with the Hopkinsville Police Department. Prior to working in law enforcement Smith served in the United States Navy.

Stach has been with the Sheriff’s Office since January 2017 and Wilson since October 2016. They both started as jail deputies in the detention center.

Camilla Kent received the Outstanding Achievement Award from her instructors at the East Tennessee Regional Law Enforcement Academy.

Kent started with the Sheriff’s Office in December 2006 as a jail clerk. In November 2010 she was promoted to jail deputy. In October 2012 she transferred to Courts and Civil Process.

Kent received the Outstanding Achievement Award from her instructors at the Academy. The award is given to a student who exemplifies leadership, integrity, and serves as a role model to their peers.
