APSU SoftballClarksville, TN – In an Ohio Valley Conference softball race that is wide open with three weekends remaining in the regular season and only four games separating the top eight teams in the standings, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) softball team travels to Tennessee Tech on Friday, April 19th for a 4:00pm key OVC showdown between two of those eight teams.

Clarksville Police investigate shots fired at Starlite Lounge, New Providence Boulevard Vehicle Accident

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Thursday, April 18th around 2:50am, the Clarksville Police Department received a shots fired call at 1304 D Fort Campbell Boulevard, the Starlite Lounge.

At the same time Officer(s) found a crash at 208 New Providence Boulevard that cause the traffic issues this morning on New Providence Boulevard. Apparently the two suspects that are in custody pursued their intended target as the victim fled the scene at Star Lite Lounge.

101st Airborne Division Captains John Bergman, Michael Rose win Best Ranger together for second time; Rose for third time

Fort Benning GeorgiaFort Benning, GA – A team from the 101st Airborne Division from Fort Campbell, Kentucky, earned the title of “Best Rangers” during an awards ceremony at the Maneuver Center of Excellence headquarters April 15th, 2019 at Fort Benning.

Capts. John Bergman and Michael Rose of Team 19, representing the 101st Airborne Division finished in first place over the 54 teams who began the 2019 Best Ranger Competition April 12th through 14th at Fort Benning, Georgia.

Rose is the first ranger to win three times, and Rose and Bergman are the first team members to win together twice.

The Tennessee Titans are scheduled to have the 19th overall selection and six total picks in the draft, which opens with the first round on Thursday, April 25th at 7:00pm Rounds 2 and 3 are set for Friday, April 26th, beginning at 6:00pm, and the draft concludes with Rounds 4-7 on Saturday, April 27th, at 11:00am (all times central).
