Clarksville Police Department receives Mobile Command Vehicle

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Department took delivery of a new mobile command center vehicle (MCV) today, Wednesday, April 24th, 2019.

Several years of planning went into the procurement of the MCV. The mobile command center vehicle will be used in critical incidents when multiple police teams would be deployed and the command center would serve as a communication and planning area.

The capabilities of the of the MCV offers the latitude for utilization in a myriad of situations such as special events, natural disasters, crisis negotiations, barricaded subjects, and long term field operations.

The mobile command center offers the flexibility and versatility necessary to establish command operations for rapidly developing and changing situations.

The MCV was purchased for $433,300 with 2/3rds of the funds coming from illegal drug seizure funds.

The MCV added a valuable, needed resource to the Clarksville Police Department’s crime fighting tools necessary to protect the public.
