Nashville Sounds kick off 14 Game Homestand, Tuesday

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds Baseball begins a 13 day, 14 game homestand at First Tennessee Park on Tuesday, May 17th.

In the longest homestand of the season, the Sounds welcome the Memphis Redbirds for four games from May 21st-24th, the Round Rock Express for a six-game series from May 25th-29th and the New Orleans Baby Cakes in a four-game set from May 30th-June 2nd.

Below is a preview for the eight-game homestand.

Tuesday, May 21st

Nashville Sounds vs. Memphis
6:35pm | Gates open at 5:30pm

Tito’s Tail Waggin’ Tuesday – Fans can bring their four-legged friend to First Tennessee Park every Tuesday in 2019. Tickets start at $25.00 ($20.00 for humans; $5.00 for dog). Proceeds from all dog tickets will benefit New Leash on Life. Limit of one dog per human. Please note all dogs must enter through the Right Field Gate on 5th Avenue.

The Vanderbilt Health Picnic Place will be reserved for all dogs and owners in attendance. All dog owners are required to sign a waiver and present proof of updated rabies vaccination.

Wednesday, May 22nd

Nashville Sounds vs. Memphis
6:35pm | Gates open at 5:30pm

All fans win on Winning Wednesday presented by Pepsi at First Tennessee Park. The first 1,000 fans through the gates are guaranteed a free prize. Additionally, all fans are welcome to run the bases after the game if the Sounds win. 

“Better Flippin’ Meat” Night presented by Applegate Farms.

Thursday, May 23rd

Nashville Sounds vs. Memphis
6:35pm | Gates open at 5:30pm

Grateful Dead Tribute Night – The Stolen Faces plays a Grateful Dead themed concert from 6:00pm-8:00pm near The Band Box and Fun Zone.

Teacher Appreciation Night – All teachers, educators and administrators in Middle Tennessee can start their summer off right with discounted tickets. Those interested must contact the Nashville Sounds sales team to receive a discount code.

Throwback Thursday presented by Budweiser – the Sounds will wear throwback uniforms to commemorate the team’s original uniform style from 1978. Fans can purchase Pepsi fountain soda and Budweiser products at a discounted rate.

Friday, May 24th

Saturday, May 25th

Nashville Sounds vs. Round Rock
6:35pm | Gates open at 5:30pm

First Tennessee Park will host Major League Baseball’s free one-day umpire clinic from 9:00am–1:00pm. All ages and levels are welcome to participate in the camp hosted by former MLB umpires and current MLB supervisors and observers.

Enjoy Saturday at the Park with visits to The Band Box and our Family Fun Zone in the right field corner.

Sunday, May 26th

Nashville Sounds vs. Round Rock
6:35pm | Gates open at 5:30pm

Memorial Weekend All-You-Can-Eat Cookout – Tickets start at $60.00 for a Club Level ticket and includes a ticket to the game, all-you-can-eat buffet on the Budweiser or Advance Financial Club Deck, Budweiser and Bud Light draft beer, soda, water & tea, commemorative Sounds sunglasses and exclusive access to the Brauer Club Lounge. The all-you-can-eat-buffet is available from 5:30pm-7:30pm and beer is available until last call.

The Sounds will wear military/camouflage jerseys in honor of Memorial Day Weekend.

Youth Sports Day – Players and families of Middle Tennessee youth sports leagues are eligible for a $2.00 discount on tickets and can participate in a pregame parade on the field. Fans must contact the Nashville Sounds sales team to receive a discount code.

Middle Tennessee Hyundai Dealers pre-game autograph session with select Sounds players from 5:30pm to 5:45pm. 

Postgame Kids Run the Bases (12 & under) presented by First Tennessee, after the conclusion of fireworks.

Monday, May 27th

Nashville Sounds vs. Round Rock
12:05pm | Doubleheader | Gates open at 11:00am

The doubleheader is a continuation of the April 18th suspended game between the Sounds and Express. Game one will be resumed at 12:05pm in the bottom of the second inning and will be a full nine-inning game. Game two will be played approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one and be a seven-inning game.

Tuesday, May 28th

Star Wars Jersey Auction benefitting the Make-A-Wish Foundation – The online and mobile auction will begin at 9:00am and finish at the end of the sixth inning. Winning bidders in-ballpark will receive their game-worn signed jersey on the field post-game.

Sunday, June 2nd

Nashville Sounds vs. New Orleans
1:05pm | Gates open at Noon.

Expand and Reveal Tote Bag Giveaway to the first 2,000 fans presented by Middle Tennessee Hyundai Dealers.

Yoga on the Diamond presented by Lululemon Nashville, Small World Yoga, and Nashville Fit Magazine. Yoga registration begins at 8:15am with the yoga class following from 9:00am-10:00am led by Christopher Byford of Small World Yoga and Kelly Cowden of Santosha Yoga. Tickets are $15.00 for yoga only or $20.00 for yoga + baseball, with a portion of all ticket sales donated to Small World Yoga – a non-profit helping to grow the yoga community in Nashville.
