Clarksville Police arrest Debra McGowan for Vehicle Burglary, Identity Theft

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Within minutes after Clarksville Police requested assistance from the public and media to identify a suspect who used a credit card from a Burglary, police started receiving calls identifying Debra McGowan as the woman in the video.

After further investigation and confirmation, warrants were secured for Vehicle Burglary and Identity Theft for McGowan.

On March 12th between 7:00am-9:00am, the victim forgot her backpack with personal documents and credit cards in a shopping cart. She discovered her credit card had been fraudulently used around 10:15am the same day.

Debra McGowan, age 39, was taken in custody, today, May 21st, 2019 around 11:30am without incident, and booked into the Montgomery County Jail. McGowan’s bond is set at $15,000.
