Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County to give keys to new home to Family of Four

Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County TennesseeClarksville, TN – On Sunday, June 9th, 2019 at 3:00pm, Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County will dedicate its 97th Clarksville-area home at 115 Edmonson Ferry Road.

The new homeowners, Overlia Williams and Mario Owens, applied for the home in April of 2016 and following approval of their application, performed over 500 sweat equity hours on their home and the homes of others to qualify for the program.

Habitat families buy their home at cost and pay for it through an interest-free mortgage.

“Overlia and Mario dedicated themselves to the work and class requirements and we’ve enjoyed partnering with them on their new Habitat home,” said Habitat Executive Director Rob Selkow.

The home was built in partnership with Edward C. Burchett Construction with the following partner-contractors and volunteers: Aldridge Plumbing, Alupa Masonry, American Wholesalers, Andy Phillips Drywall, Bumpus Backhoe, Chuck’s Custom Cabinets, Cloud Electric, Curtis Wallace Concrete, Express Roofing, Meridian Brick, Modern Heating & Cooling, Nichols Insulation, Pro Framers, Robert Channey Construction, Screaming Eagle Ready Mix, Thomas Lumber, and Winn Materials.

Habitat for Humanity, in partnership with qualifying Montgomery County families has completed 98 houses since 1992, using donated funds, labor and materials.
