A 2007 Western Kentucky University graduate who earned a master’s degree in sports studies, concentrating in sport management, from Tennessee in 2009, Gentry worked at Crowe Horwath LLP in Franklin from 2010-17, rising to Audit Senior Staff after 18 months on the job and serving as Audit Manager his last three years.

In 2017, Gentry moved to Community Health Systems in Franklin as Revenue Manager, working with multiple hospitals and conducting monthly reviews for financial reporting of net revenues, bad debt expense, cost reports reserves and the valuation of accounts receivable.

Gentry also provided pro bono service to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as part of the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway in Middle Tennessee from 2010-14. In his new role, he’ll oversee all aspects related to APSU’s finances, including budgetary items, financial reports, oversight and management.

Gentry officially began work on June 1st, 2019.

“I am excited to welcome Zach to our Austin Peay Athletics family,” Harrison said. “He is an accomplished CPA and has studied intercollegiate athletics at Western Kentucky and UT. This is a rare combination of financial and athletic knowledge for this level Zach’s experiences will allow him to understand our challenges and assist us as we work to improve our financial infrastructure.”

Locke will enter her third year at APSU in the fall. After taking over as Director of Ticket Operations in June 2017, she has overseen the transition to Glitnir Ticketing to help manage Austin Peay State University’s online sales and helped push attendance increases and season-ticket sales across all platforms. This spring, she shouldered the responsibility of launching the Monocle Society, Austin Peay’s in-house fundraising arm, helping usher in a new era of donor support and fulfillment at APSU.

Katie Locke has proven to be an invaluable member of our team,” Harrison said. “This promotion reflects what she has done in the past and more accurately describes her leadership role as the Director of the new Monocle Society.”
