Clarksville Parks and Recreation closes Liberty Park Pond for TWRA Fishing Rodeo

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department has closed Liberty Park pond this week while it’s being prepared for the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) Youth Fishing Rodeo on Saturday, June 8th, 2019.

The Youth Fishing Rodeo is a free event coordinated by TWRA at Liberty Park each year for youth 16 and under.

Registration will begin at 6:30am, June 8th at Liberty Park, and fishing will take place from 7:30am-9:00am. Pre-registration forms can be found at local Walmart sporting goods counters.

The rest of Liberty Park is open. The pond will reopen Saturday at noon after the conclusion of the Fishing Rodeo.
