Clarksville, TN – On Tuesday, June 25th, 2019 around 1:30pm, Clarksville Police responded to a call about a woman who was possibly high with three children at the residence that had what appeared to be chemical burns to their face.
Detective Fatula arrived on scene, and the children were transported to the hospital.
The three children, between the ages of one and five, had visible and varying signs of injury.
Injuries
- One child had a swollen face and eye due to chemical burns and had bruising on her back and thighs.
- Another had chemical burns to his face and stomach and what appeared to be cuts/abrasions to his eye and bruising on his back.
- The youngest child had marks on her ankle and chin and severe diaper rash.
Based on information gathered during the investigation, Tiffani Hudson had been sleeping when the children had gotten into the cleaning chemical supplies and sprayed each other with bleach from the bottles.
Upon examination of the apartment the detective found the inside to be in significant disarray. The back bedroom had Tide pods (laundry detergent) scattered and crushed across the floor. There was a strong smell of chemicals and various bottles on the floor, to include several bottles of acetone and bleach, in the room where the children had been.
There was liquid bleach on the floor throughout the apartment, as well as dirty laundry and scattered rubbish. The kitchen was unusable and cluttered with dirty dishes, furniture, and debris.
Based on the injuries to the children and the condition of the apartment warrants were secured for Tiffani Hudson and Carl Hudson.
The children were taken to the hospital, treated and released and are safely in custody of another party.
Tiffani Hudson, age 31, was booked into Montgomery Jail and charged with Aggravated Child Abuse and Neglect. Her bond is set at $150,000.
Carl Hudson, age 31, is still at large and Police are trying to locate and take him in custody for the Three Aggravated Child Abuse warrants on file. Anyone seeing him should call 911.
