Clarksville Parks and Recreation forming NFL Youth Flag Football League

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is offering an organized NFL flag football league for youths in Clarksville this fall. Boys and girls, ages 5-10 are invited to take part. Weekly practices begin August 24th, 2019 with league play on Saturdays through November 2nd at Liberty Park.

NFL Flag Fooball league

By partnering with the National Football League as an official NFL Flag league, this program is providing players with a fun and exciting opportunity to engage in non-contact, continuous action while learning lessons on teamwork, sportsmanship, dedication and discipline in a safe environment.

With over a thousand leagues, NFL Flag is the largest and most recognized flag football organization in the US and the only one where players wear official NFL gear.

Registration for the league is available online at www.CityofClarksville.com/ParksRec through August 9th. The fee is $80.00 per participant. Each player will receive a belt, flags, and jersey provided by NFL Flag.

Volunteer coaches are needed and are encouraged to contact Clarksville Parks and Recreation to learn more.
