Fort Campbell Brutal Fitness 5K Challenge July 13th

 

Fort Campbell's Morale, Welfare and Recreation - MWRFort Campbell, KY – Join the Fort Campbell community for our July Eagle Challenge Fitness Tour event. On July 13th, Fort Campbell, along with the 1st Brigade Combat Team “Bastogne”, will host the “Brutal Fitness 5K Challenge”.

35th Annual Queen City Road RaceClarksville, TN – The 35th Annual Queen City Road Race will be Saturday, May 4th. Registration is going on now.

The Queen City Road Race event is a Clarksville tradition promoting fitness and fun for all ages. The 7K and 5K race route takes runners through the streets of Historic Downtown Clarksville, beginning and ending at Austin Peay State University’s Governors Stadium, while the One Mile Movement takes you on an exciting tour of a portion of the APSU campus.

For over thirty years, hundreds of Clarksville-Montgomery County and Fort Campbell school students, teachers and family members have participated in this Clarksville tradition.

19th Annual Austin Peay State University Governors Bass Tournament just around the corner

 

Austin Peay State University Governors Bass TournamentClarksville, TN – As the temperatures climb up this weekend it is a reminder the 19th annual Austin Peay State University Governors Bass Tournament is just around the corner.

This year’s edition will be held Saturday, May 11th, at Kentucky Lake, with registration and boat launching from Paris Landing, Tennessee, State Park. Last season’s tourney drew 264 boats.

Austin Peay Governors Sports Network adds non-conference baseball games to slate

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s athletics department and the Governors Sports Network, the department’s broadcast partner, have announced the addition of non-conference baseball games to the network’s 2012-13 schedule.

The expanded schedule will include the final five games of the Govs current eight-game homestand. The Governors Sports Network will utilize WJZM 1400 AM or WVRY 105.1 FM to carry the broadcasts over the air, as each station’s schedule allows.

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans (5-10) conclude their 2012 season this week with a home game against the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-13). Kickoff at LP Field (capacity 69,143) is scheduled for noon CT on Sunday, December 30th.

This week will mark the 37th all-time meeting between the Jaguars and Titans, with the Titans holding a 20-16 lead in the series. The three games since the start of the 2011 season have been decided by 13 total points.
