Honda recalls nearly 200,000 vehicles due to possible Inadvertent Application of Brakes

 

National Highway Traffic Safety AdministrationWashington, D.C. – Honda is recalling certain model year 2005 Pilot vehicles manufactured July 29th, 2004, through August 29th, 2005; model year 2005-2006 Acura MDX vehicles manufactured September 16th, 2004, through September 22nd, 2005; and model year 2005 Acura RL vehicles manufactured March 1st, 2004, through June 29th, 2005.

An electrical capacitor may have been damaged during the manufacturing of the Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) control module causing intermittent, automatic, minor brake application.

Honda recalls over 800,000 vehicles for ignition switch problem

 

National Highway Traffic Safety AdministrationWashington, D.C. – Honda is recalling certain model year 2003 and 2004 Pilot and Odyssey and 2003 through 2006 Acura MDX passenger vehicles manufactured from November 26th, 2001, through August 30th, 2006.

The interlock lever of the ignition switch may deform, which can allow the interlock function of a vehicle with an automatic transmission to be defeated.

Consumer ReportsYonkers, NY – With its large back seat, easy access and ample cargo space, the family-friendly Honda CR-V narrowly topped the Mazda CX-5 in Consumer Reports’ latest head-to-head small SUVs tests.

On paper, the redesigned CR-V and new CX-5 appear very similar. Both can accommodate five passengers, have comparable dimensions, are available with front- or all-wheel drive, and are priced about the same.
