APSU Student Athletes claim 19 Ohio Valley Conference Academic Medal of Honor Recipients

 

APSU - Austin Peay State University SportsBrentwood, TN — Austin Peay State University saw 92 student-athletes recognized by the Ohio Valley Conference as part of its annual academic achievement awards, July 25th.

The OVC annually recognizes those student-athletes who excel in the classroom. The league’s Medal of Honor recognizes those student-athletes with the highest cumulative grade-point average in their conference-sponsored sport.

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs awarded OVC Outdoor Track and Field Sportsmanship Award

 

Ohio Valley ConferenceBrentwood, TN – For the second time in the last three years, Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team has earned the Ohio Valley Conference Sportsmanship Award for the outdoor track and field season.

Voted on by the student-athletes and coaches of the respective sports, the team awards are bestowed upon the Conference squads deemed to have best exhibited the standards of sportsmanship and ethical behavior as outlined by the OVC and NCAA.

Austin Peay State University Lady GovsChattanooga, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s cross country team got two top-10 finishes in its return trip to Chattanooga at Saturday’s Front Runner Invitational. The Lady Govs finished fourth out of six squads in the two-mile race, with host Chattanooga taking the overall team title.
