Fort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne DivisionNashville, TN – The leadership of 101st Airborne Division Artillery Brigade along with the 101st Airborne Division Band, took part in the Nashville Predators’ Military Salute Week at Bridgestone Arena.

During the Predators’ March 6th game against the Dallas Stars, the Big 5 Band played during the first and second intermission. Positioned just above the Zamboni tunnel, they performed classic rock covers for the more than 17,000 fans who filled the arena.

“Before a big performance like this I always get very excited. It’s fantastic that this large of an audience will be hearing Army music tonight,” said Pfc. Shawn McGovern, an Army musician with the 101st Airborne Division Band.

Nashville Predators defeat Anaheim Ducks 4-2 extend win streak to 10

Nashville PredatorsClarksville, TN – The Nashville Predators extended their franchise record win streak to 10 in a row with a hard fought win over the visiting Anaheim Ducks, 4-2 tonight at Bridgestone Arena.

In front of another sold out Smashville home crowd and the NHL commissioner Gary Bettman, the Predators fought off a furious Anaheim third period assault to clinch the victory.

Craig Smith got Nashville on the board first at 5:26 of the first period, with his wrist shot that beat Anaheim goalie John Gibson for the early 1-0 lead.  Smith was assisted by Kyle Turris and Ryan Hartman on the score.

Nashville Predators defeat Dallas Stars 2-0 set franchise record for consecutive wins

Nashville PredatorsNashville, TN – The Nashville Predators defeated the Dallas Stars 2-0 at Bridgestone Arena tonight, setting a franchise record for consecutive wins at 9 in a row.

Ryan Hartman scored the game winner after two lackluster periods at 5:33 of the third period when his backhanded shot went “top shelf” over Dallas goalie, Kari Lehtonen, for the 1-0 lead.

That was all the Predators would need on this night against the Stars, but for good measure, Nick Bonino scored an empty netter with 14 seconds remaining in regulation for the 2-0 final.

My Two Cents: Nashville Predators Win Western Conference Championship

My Two-Cents with Hank BonecutterNashville, TN – It was an amazing night to be at the Bridgestone Arena tonight as the Nashville Predators defeated the Anaheim Ducks, 6-3, to win the Western Conference Championship.  The Predators now await the winner of the Pittsburgh/Ottawa series to see who they will play.

THIS IS FOR LORD STANLEY’S CUP!  THE MOST REVERED TROPHY IN ALL OF SPORTS!

The arena was sold out.  The grounds surrounding the Bridgestone Arena were packed with, by some estimates, 5,000-10,000 fans watching the game on the big screens that were placed all around the arena.

My Two Cents: Nashville Predators Continue Historic Stanley Cup Run

My Two-Cents with Hank BonecutterClarksville, TN – They say the Stanley Cup is the hardest trophy to hoist.  Well, if you’re a Predators fan, you know this all too well.  We’re not there yet, but what a battle it’s been.

This amazing team has rolled through Chicago and St. Louis and has taken the best shots that Anaheim has thrown at them.  Anaheim has turned this series into a gutter brawl.  Cheap shots, low blows and hits AFTER the whistle, but,  WE’RE STILL STANDING!  In fact, we lead the series, 3-2.
