Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators, behind the stellar goaltending of Pekka Rinne, have shut-out the Phoenix Coyotes in Nashville 3-0. Another sold out at Bridgestone Arena witnessed the Predators play aggressive hockey throughout the night. This was the 19th consecutive sell-out for the Nashville Predators.

Nashville went to extra time with the San Jose Sharks for the third straight game and sixth time in the last eight outings on Tuesday night. St. Louis, MO – The Nashville Predators have become the “cardiac kids” their last two games, winning in a shoot-out both times. Tuesday night, February 4th, they return to St. Louis to give the Blues, “the blues”, at the Scottrade Center. The game starts at 7:00pm.

Clarksville, TN – The Nashville Predators are in desperate need of a win, and it doesn’t get any easier when they face the defending Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, Thursday night, January 31st at the Stables Center. The puck hits ice at 9:30pm.

Nashville Predators lose Patric Hornqvist to injury

Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators will be without the services of forward Patric Hornqvist for 3-4 weeks after he suffered an injury Saturday night. According to team officials, Hornqvist was injured in the third period of their loss to Anaheim, and was sent back to Nashville for evaluation.
Initial reports indicated that Hornqvist sprained a knee, when Anaheim’s Ryan Getzlaf fell on him. Hornqvist was in obvious pain as he left the ice. He had to be helped off the ice by teammates. «Read the rest of this article»
Nashville Predators lose to Anaheim Ducks in Shootout 3-2

Anaheim, CA – In the third round of the shootout, Predators’ David Legwand lifts a shot up that is deflected off the glove of Duck’s goaltender Viktor Fasth and into the air. Viktor is able to gather the puck in to seal a 3-2 shootout win over Nashville for Anaheim at the Honda Center.
Anaheim’s Corey Perry went wide to the right, then swooped in to the middle, hit a wrist shot to the short side and past Pekka Rinne’s glove in the second round to give the Ducks a 1-0 advantage in the shootout. «Read the rest of this article»
Nashville Predators to face the Anaheim Ducks Saturday

Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators are hoping to shake off their lackluster performance against the St. Louis Blues on Thursday night, as they face the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday.
This marks the third stop of a franchise record tying seven-game road swing; the Predators also played seven straight on the road from October 30th-November 12th, 2002. The trip will last 15 days, and see the team go to Minnesota, St. Louis, Anaheim, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Jose, then back to St. Louis to wrap things up on February 5th. Nashville Predators get shutout at St. Louis Blues 3-0

St. Louis, MO – Patrik Berglund was racing down the right side when Mike Fisher came from behind and tripped him right as he made a cut to the goal. Berglund was awarded a penalty shot.
He managed to beat Pekka Rinne with a wrist shot at 9.26 into the second period to give the St. Louis Blues a 2-0 lead in the game over the Nashville Predators.

Nashville Predators begin seven game road trip at Minnesota Wild Tonight

Nashville, TN – Tonight is the first of three games in 2012-13 between the Nashville Predators and the Minnesota Wild – the teams will meet at Xcel Energy Center again on February 9th, and at Bridgestone Arena on March 9th.
The Predators have claimed the season series three games to one in each of the past two seasons, posting a perfect 4-0-0 mark in the Music City and a 2-2-0 record in St. Paul.
