Military-Veteran Graduate Recognition Ceremony May 8th for APSU spring grads

 

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Active duty and military veteran students who will graduate from Austin Peay State University this week will receive APSU’s military coin.

The military and veteran graduate recognition and coin presentation ceremony, with the theme “All Hail to Those Who Serve,” is scheduled for 5:00pm, Wednesday, May 8th in the Mabry Concert Hall, located inside the Music/Mass Communication Building. The event is open to the public.

Couple to graduate from Austin Peay State University together December 14th

 

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – For Staff Sgt. Chris Minor and his wife Elvira, the celebration of graduating together December 14th from Austin Peay State University will not occur precisely as they walk across the stage to receive their degrees.

Rather, the moment of satisfaction will come when their children understand the value of a college education.

Austin Peay State University to present APSU Coin to faculty and staff military veterans November 15th

 

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – More than 50 faculty and staff at Austin Peay State University who are military veterans will be honored at a special APSU Employee Veteran Recognition Ceremony on Thursday, November 15th.

The ceremony will be held at 5:00pm in the Morgan University Center Ballroom. The event is open to the public.

APSU to receive Green Certification from the City of Clarksville and Montgomery County on September 10th

 

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – In the last several years, Austin Peay State University has worked steadily to become a more environmentally friendly institution. A sustainable campus fee was developed in 2008 to fund green initiatives, such as recycling projects, energy and water conservation and the purchase of alternative fuel vehicles.

The University has also added solar panels at the APSU Environmental Education Center, installed Brita Hydration Stations to the residence halls and put in better irrigation systems for landscaping in certain areas of campus. «Read the rest of this article»
