APSU Men's TennisClarksville, TN – In the final weekend of fall competition, the Austin Peay State University men’s tennis team will host North Alabama in its annual APSU Fall Tournament beginning 9:00am, Saturday at the Austin Peay Tennis Complex in Clarksville.

After a hard-fought weekend against some of the nation’s top competitors in the ITA Ohio Valley Regional, the Governors are looking to build continuity as they prepare for their final tune-up before spring competition begins in January.

APSU Men's TennisClarksville, TN – Coming off an impressive outing at the ITA All-American Championships for two representatives, the Austin Peay State University men’s tennis squad returns to team play this weekend, October 6th-8th, 2017 for the Mercer Gridiron Classic in Macon, GA.

This will be the second tournament of the fall season for the Govs, who are acclimating a trio of newcomers into the lineup.

APSU Men's TennisTulsa, OK – Austin Peay State University men’s tennis representative Christian Edison fought valiantly all the way into the Round of 32 at the Saint Francis Health System ITA Men’s All-American Championship on Sunday afternoon, but ultimately fell just short of the qualifying draw to conclude the Governors portion of the competition.

APSU Men's TennisTulsa, OK – Austin Peay State University men’s tennis’ Christian Edison picked up two victories to advance to the round of 64 at the Saint Francis Health Systems ITA All-American Championships.

Edison cruised to victory in the first round, knocking off Marquette’s Gregory Anderson 7-5, 6-3.

88 APSU Governors named to OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsBrentwood, TN – Eighty-eight Austin Peay State University student-athletes were named to the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll, Friday, following the 2016-17 academic year.

Student-athletes must have achieved a 3.25 grade-point average, were eligible and on the team throughout the competitive season in their chose NCAA-sponsored sport(s) and used a season of competition in that sport.

Austin Peay’s numbers include 22 athletes who competed in multiple sports during the season and are counted just once in the department’s total.

Seventeen APSU Athletes earn OVC Academic Medal of Honor

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsBrentwood, TN – Seventeen Austin Peay State University student-athletes have earned the Ohio Valley Conference’s Academic Medal of Honor for their performance in the classroom during the 2016-17 academic year.

The 17 Governors recognized were among a group of 221 OVC student-athletes that will receive the Academic Medal of Honor, which recognizes those student-athletes that achieve the highest grade-point average in a league sponsored sport.
