Clarksville, TN - Junior first baseman Craig Massoni, of the Austin Peay State University baseball team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
His two-run home run in Game 1 tied the game in the ninth inning and forced extra innings, with the Govs winning in the 10th; it was his team-best 10th home run in 2013. He also had a two-run single in the second game and had an RBI double in Game 3.

Austin Peay State University Athlete of the Week John Storie

Clarksville, TN - Senior John Storie, of the Austin Peay State University men’s tennis team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
Storie was the story for the Govs at the OVC Tennis Championships. The Johnson City, Tennessee, native won both his singles matches and both doubles matches with Aleksas Tverijonas to help Austin Peay clinch its first OVC Tennis title since 1974.

APSU Athlete of the Week Dustin Korte

Clarksville, TN - Senior Dustin Korte, of the Austin Peay State University men’s golf team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
After going winless through the first three and a half years of his Austin Peay career, Korte has taken medalist honors in two of his last three outings. He shot a five-under par 211 (71-68-72) at the C.O.G. Mizzou Intercollegiate to win the event by a stroke. His second-round 68 pushed the Govs into second-place behind host Missouri, where they would finish the tournament, ahead of 76th-ranked Washington State.

Clarksville, TN – Lee Ridenhour took a different road to Austin Peay than many that have donned the red-and-white.
The fireballing right-hander stormed out of Shawnee Mission West (Kansas) High School and into a No. 3 starter role for Kansas as a freshman in 2009. He beat then-No. 21 Arkansas in his collegiate debut, dueled No. 1 Texas to a stand-still (six and two-thirds, two runs allowed in a no-decision) and defeated No. 9 Kansas State for his sixth win, the most for a Jayhawk frosh in 15 seasons.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team enjoyed the comforts of home in hosting Saturday’s APSU Invitational. The Lady Govs used their home-field advantage to turn in several top marks at Governors Stadium.

APSU Athlete of the Week Chantelle Grey

Clarksville, TN – Senior Chantelle Grey, of the Austin Peay State University track and field team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
Grey was the top finisher in the 800m run at Saturday’s Vanderbilt Black and Gold Invitational, with her 2:09.03 mark besting the field by more than a second and a half. That run places her atop the conference standings, sixth in the NCAA’s East Region and 10th in the nation.

Clarksville, TN – Senior closer Tyler Rogers, of the Austin Peay State University baseball team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
Rogers shared Ohio Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week honors with Jacksonville State’s Casey Antley after picking up a win and two saves last week, giving him eight saves and four wins in 2013. He leads the OVC in both categories and has not allowed an earned run this season.
