Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University tennis player Sean Bailey has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District III Men’s At-Large team for the 2012-13 year, the College of Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced Friday.

Starkville, MS - A magical 2013 season came to an end for Austin Peay State University men’s tennis team, Friday, when the Govs fell, 4-0, to tenth-seeded Mississippi State in the first round of the NCAA Men’s Tennis Tournament.

Austin Peay State University Men’s Tennis to host NCAA Selection Show viewing party
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University men’s tennis team and the Austin Peay athletics department will host a viewing party to watch the NCAA Men’s Tennis Championship selection show Tuesday April 30th at 3:30pm in the second-floor Govs Club Room at the Dunn Center.

Austin Peay State University Athlete of the Week John Storie
Clarksville, TN - Senior John Storie, of the Austin Peay State University men’s tennis team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
Storie was the story for the Govs at the OVC Tennis Championships. The Johnson City, Tennessee, native won both his singles matches and both doubles matches with Aleksas Tverijonas to help Austin Peay clinch its first OVC Tennis title since 1974.

Austin Peay State University Governors Tennis wins OVC Tennis Tournament
Paducah, KY - For the first time since 1974, Austin Peay State University men’s tennis team has earned the right to call itself Ohio Valley Conference Champion.
The Govs defeated Belmont, 4-1, in the finals of the OVC Tournament Championship at Heflin Tennis Center, Sunday, to secure the second conference title in program history.

Austin Peay State University has Four Athletes earn All-OVC honors

Paducah, KY – For the second year in a row, four Austin Peay State University men’s tennis players have earned All-Ohio Valley Conference honors. The conference announced their honors at the annual awards banquet prior to the OVC Tennis Tournament Championship.
Senior Sean Bailey, junior Jasmin Ademovic and sophomore Dimitar Ristovski earned first-team honors, as voted by the conference coaches. Sophomore Aleksas Tverijonas claimed a spot on the second team. It’s the second time in three years the Govs have placed three on the first team, with Ademovic, Bailey and Henrique Norbiato earning first-team honors in 2011.
