Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsColumbus, OH – For the second year in a row, Tennessee Vols basketball is ready to take on 15th-seed Colgate in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at Nationwide Arena in the South Region. The game tips at 1:45pm CT on Friday and will be televised live on CBS.

Tennessee is 29-5 on the season. That impressive record includes a school-record 19-game winning streak, a program-record-tying three victories over top-five opponents and the second most victories in a single season in program history. The Vols spent four weeks atop the Associated Press Top 25 rankings, and for the first time in program history, UT spent the entire season ranked among the top 10.

Tennessee Lady Vols head to NCAA Tournament as #11 Seed

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – The only program to appear in every NCAA Tournament, the Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team learned it had been awarded its 38th consecutive postseason bid Monday when the bracket was revealed at 4:00pm CT on ESPN2.
 
The Lady Vols (19-12) are seeded No. 11 in the Albany Region. UT will face No. 6 seed UCLA (20-12) in the first round at the XFINITY Center in College Park, MD, on Saturday at approximately 12:00pm CT. The game will be televised by ESPN2 and also carried on the Lady Vol Radio Network.

Tennessee Vols unable to get going against Auburn in SEC Tournament Championship

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsNashville, TN – The No. 8 Tennessee Vols couldn’t match No. 22 Auburn hot shooting, falling, 84-64, in the SEC Tournament Championship Game on Sunday at Bridgestone Arena.
 
The Vols (29-5) played one of their worst games of the season on the offensive end, turning the ball over 17 times that led to 21 points for Auburn. The Tigers (26-9) did what they do best and rained 3-pointers to keep the momentum in their favor, connecting on 15 long balls.
 
Tennessee’s offense went cold as ice in the first half, going on a seven-minute scoring drought and missing 10 consecutive shots. UT was up early on the Tigers with a 17-13 lead.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsAuburn, AL – No. 5 Tennessee Vols dropped its regular-season finale Saturday against Auburn, 84-80, at Auburn Arena.
 
The Vols (27-4, 15-3 SEC) fought hard and tried to claw back into the game, but the Tigers (22-9, 11-7 SEC) had an answer every time. The key stat to the game was Tennessee’s 13 turnovers that led to 19 points for Auburn.
 
National Player of the Year candidate Grant Williams led all players with 25 points on 8-of-12 shooting to go along with nine rebounds, three assists and two blocks.

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – No. 8 seed Tennessee Lady Vols (19-11, 7-9 SEC) will meet No. 1 seed Mississippi State (27-2, 15-1 SEC) at noon on Friday in the quarterfinal round of the SEC Tournament.

Tip-off is slated for 11:02am CT at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, SC, for a contest that is being televised by the SEC Network and carried by the Lady Vol Radio Network and SiriusXM Radio. The winner of the UT-MSU game will advance to face the victor of Friday’s contest between No. 4 Kentucky and No. 5 Missouri at 4:00pm CT (ESPNU).

The Lady Vols survived and advanced by coming from seven down in the third quarter to defeat LSU, 69-66.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – No. 5 Tennessee Vols used a fast second-half start to power past Mississippi State on Senior Night at Thompson-Boling Arena, 71-54.
 
Heading into its final game of the regular season Saturday at Auburn, Tennessee remains in a tie atop the Southeastern Conference standings.
 
Leading by six points at halftime, Tennessee (27-3, 15-2 SEC) used a 17-4 run to open the second half and create a comfortable, 19-point lead, capped by a Jalen Johnson 3-pointer from the left wing. The Bulldogs (21-9, 9-8) never drew closer than 14 points after the Vols’ initial second-half burst, and Tennessee’s lead expanded to as many as 24 points.
