Tentative schedule released
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University 2014-15 Men’s basketball schedule will feature seven opponents that won 20 or more games a year ago.
The Governors’ slate will include 14 home regular-season games plus two exhibitions. That home calendar will see the Govs play North Florida for the first time, a 2:00pm New Year’s Eve contest.

Martin, TN – After three straight excruciating defeats, including the last two by two points, Austin Peay will attempt to find that winning formula, 6:00pm, Saturday when it plays UT Martin at the Elam Center.

Cape Girardeau, MO – Austin Peay will open its Ohio Valley Conference season on the road for a third straight season when it travels to the Show Me Central to face Southeast Missouri, 7:00pm Thursday.
This will be the fourth time in the last five seasons the Govs have opened with SEMO, but it will be the first time the two teams will play a divisional game.
Austin Peay Governors vs. High Point

Chattanooga, TN – Austin Peay will attempt to snap a five-game losing streak when it plays High Point in the consolation game of the Dr. Pepper Classic, 3:30pm (CDT), Saturday in McKenzie Arena.
High Point also is amidst a losing streak. Its 68-61 loss to Chattanooga, Friday, was its fourth straight.
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University center Chris Horton, who scored 24 points in two games while shooting 71 percent from the floor, has been named Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Week for a third straight time.
The 6-8 Decatur, GA, native, scored 15 points against Berea last Wednesday, going 6-of-9 from the floor.
Fairfield vs. Austin Peay Governors

The Stags are 3-4 so far this season and have yet to play a home game. They are Austin Peay Governors Basketball’s first December opponent when the two meet, 7:30pm, Saturday, in Dave Aaron Arena.

The forward from Illinois has endured much in his time as an Austin Peay athlete. A heart-wrenching OVC Championship loss as a freshman. A wrecked knee his junior year. And then, another knee injury just 10 games into what would be his redshirt junior season.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University men’s basketball schedule will feature two tournaments and several early home games along with the new Ohio Valley Conference divisional format for the 2012-13 season.
After opening the 2011-12 season with eight of their first nine games on the road, the Governors will have a more home-friendly slate this season. In fact, APSU will open at home for the first time since the 2003-04 season (Knoxville College) when they play host to Samford, Friday, November 9th.
