Bloomington, IN – A handful of athletes found their way into the top-five for Austin Peay State University track and field on the final day of competition at the Gladstein Invitational.
The day started promisingly, with a fourth-place showing by freshman Sonja White. The newcomer from nearby Northeast High School was fourth in the 21-runner field at 25.87, less than three-tenths of a second from a top-three finish.

Bloomington, IN – Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team found the going tough on the first day of competition at the Gladstein Invitational, Friday, at Indiana’s Gladstein Fieldhouse.
The best performance posted Friday went to junior Kymmalett Ross. The sprinter guaranteed herself a spot in Saturday’s 60m dash final with a 7.74 qualifying mark, three-hundredths of a second from the top spot and third overall during qualifying.

Clarksville, TN – This summer, the North American Interfraternity Conference hosted its 25th Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute (UIFI) in Bloomington, Indiana, and 10 Austin Peay State University students received scholarships to attend the event.

Fort Campbell, KY – Fourteen future Soldiers from the Bloomington, IN Recruiting Station were given a glimpse of their future during a visit here March 19th.
“This is the first major [tour] we’ve done like this where we’ve gotten the post and an entire Brigade involved,” said Staff Sgt. Forrest Uribe, a recruiter with the Bloomington Recruiting Station.
The primary focus of the tour was observing training and interacting with Soldiers of 3rd Brigade Combat Team ‘Rakkasans’, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).

Davis qualified and placed third in the event out of 107 athletes at Johnson City, TN, her third top-three finish in as many meets since joining the Lady Govs.
