Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office issues updated on Wanted Bounty Hunters

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) reports that Andrew Scott Giarratano, 29, Charles Victor Mullins, 33, and Jason Glendale Woosley, 36, have been taken into custody.

On Thursday, January 10th, 2019, MCSO issued arrest warrants for the three bounty hunters that work for Grumpy’s Bail Bonds for assault and failure to follow state laws on bounty hunting procedures.

The bounty hunters attempted to make forced entry into the home by kicking in the front door.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office issues Warrants for Bounty Hunters

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – Investigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) have issued arrest warrants for three bounty hunters working for Grumpy’s Bail Bonds for assault and failure to follow state laws on bounty hunting procedures.

Andrew Scott Giarratano, 29, Charles Victor Mullins, 33, Jason Glendale Woosley, 36, went to a residence in the 2000 block of River Road at approximately 12:45am on November 16th, 2018, to take into custody two individuals who had misdemeanor warrants of out of Hickman County.

Bounty Hunter Bill Goes Before First Committee Next Week

This legislation was filed after a tragic event in Clarksville where bounty hunters chased a vehicle through the streets of Clarksville at a very high rate of speed and a father of 3 was ultimately shot and killed.  This victim was an innocent man, unnecessarily killed due to the gross negligence of persons acting as bounty hunters.

Tennessee State Representative - District 67Nashville, TN – Bill filing deadline was on Thursday, February 1st, 2018.  Below are measures introduced by Representative Joe Pitts.  Over the next several weeks we will continue reporting on legislation filed and the status of the legislation.

Dual Enrollment Grants – House Bill 1495/Senate Bill 1676 (Sen. Mark Green (R-Clarksville) is scheduled for the House Education Administration & Planning sub-committee on February 6th.  This bill will eliminate the one-year Tennessee residency requirement for a dual enrollment grant while still requiring a student be a Tennessee resident on the date of application for, or for renewal of, a dual enrollment grant.
