Austin Peay State University Governors - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University head coach Will Healy‘s first APSU football signing class will be a memorable one.

Healy brought in the top-ranked class in the Ohio Valley Conference according to 247sports.com and one of the nation’s top FCS classes, staking his claim to the state of Tennessee in the process—16 of his 26 commitments hailed from the Volunteer State, including McCallie’s JaVaughn Craig and Corey McDonald, who had drawn interest from Healy’s previous school, Chattanooga.

Instant Peay Play - APSU SportsClarksville, TN – New Austin Peay State University head football coach Will Healy stated he and his staff were going to get it done in recruiting, when he was introduced at Governors Stadium on December 23rd, 2015, and with National Signing Day looming on February 3rd it looks like statement is coming to fruition.

Healy, who is the second youngest head coach in Division I at 30 years of age, has looked to make the most of the 33 days since making that statement with what seems like commitment additions to his probable first recruiting class every few day or so.

5th Annual Middle Tennessee Regional Student Art Exhibit

 

Exceptional Talent and Art from Middle Tennessee Students

The Renaissance CenterDickson, TN – The Tennessee Art Education Association (TAEA) and The Renaissance Center have partnered again to present the 5th Annual Middle Tennessee Regional Student Art Exhibition, featuring exceptional artwork created by middle and high school students from Middle Tennessee.

The exhibit is on display at The Renaissance Center through January 11th, 2013. A free Reception and Awards Ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, December 1st, 4:00pm–7:00pm.

Tailgating: Marc Gasol escapes from brother’s shadow, arrives as elite NBA big man with All-Star selection

 

Clarksville, TN – For much of his life, Marc Gasol has seemingly lived in the shadows.

Already growing up in the shadow of his older Pau Gasol, who starred for Spanish basketball powerhouse Barcelona, Marc continued to remain the forgotten Gasol when Pau was taken in the 2001 NBA Draft and shipped to the Memphis Grizzlies.

After the Gasol family made the move to Memphis to stay close to Pau, Marc continued to search for his own basketball glory.

Clarksville High School Wrestling wins Brentwood Academy Duals

 

Clarksville Sports NetworkClarksville, TN – Clarksville High School got a great present before Christmas by winning the Brentwood Academy Duals Saturday at Brentwood Academy. It’s the Wildcats second tournament win this year after they won their own Slamfest on December 10th in Clarksville.
