Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation’s Division of Natural Areas will host two guided day hikes at Middle Tennessee natural areas on Saturday, January 26th, including excursions to Short Springs State Natural Area in Coffee County and Virgin Falls State Natural Area in White County.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay’s baseball team – the defending Ohio Valley Conference regular-season champions – begins the run for the 2012 OVC crown with a visit to rival Southeast Missouri this weekend.
The teams will play in the new OVC weekend format for the first time, with a three-game series set to begin with a 3:00pm, Friday contest at Capha Field. The teams will continue the series with a 1:00pm, Saturday contest before wrapping the series with a 1:00pm, Sunday outing.

Columbus, OH – Following his team’s Friday loss Austin Peay State University head baseball coach Gary McClure emphasized the need for his team to do the little things if they wanted to win. The Govs did all the little things right in a five-run 10th inning that catapulted them to a 7-2 victory against Ohio State, Saturday afternoon at Bill Davis Stadium.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay’s baseball team travels north to meet Ohio State in a three-game non-conference series, Friday-Sunday, for its final tune-up. The Govs will seek to end a recent slump that has seen them losing four of their last five games. The Buckeyes return to action after splitting its four games at the Coastal Carolina Tournament last weekend.
