Court TV’s Catherine Crier occasionally does a segment called The Crier Wire during her Catherine Crier Live program. On March 29th she did a piece called “IF GEORGE WERE KING” as she said “Given the last 6 years, the idea is not so far-fetched”. I don’t think this piece needs further comment on my part, It’s pure perfection….

She has a personal web site as well.

Here’s a collection of protest music as a continuation of our Dear Mr. President article from the other day. Each of the videos below pose questions which deserve answers, but will likely never receive one from this administration. Oh well, I guess we can look forward to the next one in 2008.
Eve of Destruction

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s program, The fifth estate took a look at the lies and manipulations which lead to the invasion of Iraq and the failure of the media to question the lies which they were being fed by this administration. They point out the many simularities between what we heard then about Iraq and what we are hearing from the administration about Iran. This program first aired on March 7th 2007.

Since the US-led invasion four years ago, the fifth estate has covered Iraq and the war on terror from virtually every angle–the military, media, intelligence, politics–revealing aspects of the story that you didn’t find anywhere else. Now, as the White House warns about the latest threat in the region, this time from Iran, it’s worthwhile looking back to examine the deception, suspect intelligence, even lies, that convinced the world of the rightness of targeting Saddam Hussein. «Read the rest of this article»

Below is a video clip of a Chuck Schumer and Diane Feinstein press conference about the politically motivated firing of US Attorneys and the resulting scandal.
If they won’t step down It’s time to impeach all complicit individuals in the Bush Administration, and let God sort them out. This includes the Attorney General, Harriet Myers, Karl Rove, and if they had any involvement at all the President and Vice President.

As I listen to the arguments against impeaching George Bush, Dick Cheney, and the whole lot of the contemptible bastards who have done so much damage over the past 6 years, I can’t help but consider what was said when they were considering impeaching Bill Clinton. Back then it was “no one is above the law”, “we have to do it for the children”, and “we must restore dignity to the office of the presidency”. And that was all over a sexual impropriety.
And what do they say now, given a rogue president who lied us into a war that has claimed the lives of over 3,000 of our soldiers and who knows how many Iraqis? A president who has declared war on the middle class and done everything he can to empty the national treasury into the pockets of the uber-wealthy. A president who not only tolerates incompetence, but rewards it with the “Medal of Freedom”. A president who stands idly by while a great city in the United States is reduced to rubble. «Read the rest of this article»

On ABC’s This Week, President Bush told host George Stephanopoulos that the strategy in Iraq was “never stay the course.”
A look back seems to suggest something else.

On November 7th, lets change the course of this Nation and send the “Stay The Course” Republicans packing, even those who are now trying to hide from their failed strategy, by voting…

Well, here it is another election season, and I’ve had my ear to the rail for a while; listening– hoping– praying– that the Democrats would begin to realize why they simply can not gain ground in Middle America.
Could it be, after all these years of Republican (Read: Bush) bashing and whining about global warming, that it could really be right under their nose? «Read the rest of this article»
