Nashville PredatorsNashville, TN - The Nashville Predators didn’t disappoint their fans on Fan Appreciation Night at the Bridgestone Arena, as they closed out the home portion of their schedule with a 4-3 victory over the Calgary Flames.

Nashville snapped their eight game winless streak in the process.

Nashville Predators recall three from Milwaukee Admirals

 

Nashville-PredatorsNashville, TN - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forwards Daniel Bång (DAN-yehl BOHNG), Kevin Henderson and Austin Watson from Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) under emergency conditions.

Bång, 25 (4/19/87), has played in Nashville’s last five games – his first five NHL contests – recording two points (2a). The Kista, Sweden native has 22 points (9g-13a) in 53 games for the Admirals during his first North American season. Prior to signing with the Predators last summer, the 6-3, 201-pound power forward spent six seasons with AIK’s senior team, posting 121 points (60g-61a) in 258 games. «Read the rest of this article»

Nashville Predators host Calgary Flames for final home game

 

Nashville PredatorsNashville, TN - The Nashville Predators and Calgary Flames complete their three-game 2012-13 slate on Tuesday night at Bridgestone Arena, with both teams having won a home game to this point. The game starts at 7:00pm.

In their most recent meeting on March 21st in the Music City, the Predators overcame allowing two shorthanded goals in a period (the first) for the first time in franchise history to claim a 5-3 victory.

Watson has gone without a point in his first five contests dating back to his NHL debut on April 7. Nashville Predators recall Mathias Ekholm from Milwaukee Admirals

 

Nashville PredatorsNashville, TN - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Mattias Ekholm (mat-TEE-uhs EHK-hohlm) from Milwaukee (AHL) under emergency conditions. He will wear No. 42.

Ekholm, 22 (5/24/90), has 27 points (9g-18a) in 55 games for the Admirals in 2012-13, his first full North American campaign. The 6-4, 202-pound native of Borlange, Sweden began last season with the Predators – playing in two games – before returning to Brynas of the Swedish Elite League (Elitserien) where he won the 2012 Borje Salming Award as the league’s top defenseman, and helped Brynas claim the 2012 Le Mat Trophy as Elitserien champions. «Read the rest of this article»

Mike Fisher notched his first multi-goal effort of the season on Thursday against the Flames, giving him five markers in his last five outings – tied with Devin Setoguchi for the most in the NHL since his hot streak began on March 14th.
