APSU Sports: Austin Peay Men’s Basketball
Cancun, Mexico – Gardner-Webb used a 12-3 second-half run to break open a close game and then held off Austin Peay State University, 62-52, Wednesday afternoon, to claim the Mayan Division title in the Triple Crown Cancun Challenge, played at the Moon Palace Resort.

APSU Sports: Austin Peay Men’s Basketball
Cancun, Mexico – Austin Peay State University nailed three consecutive three pointers amidst an 11-0 second-half run as the Governors rallied from 12-point deficit to defeat Western Carolina, 72-71, Tuesday afternoon during Mayan Division action of the Triple Crown Cancun Challenge, being played at the Moon Palace Resort.

Austin Peay Governors vs. Western Carolina

Cancun, Mexico – Austin Peay will attempt to snap a three-game losing streak when it resumes play in the Triple Crown Cancun Challenge by facing Western Carolina in a 12:30pm, Tuesday, contest at the Moon Palace Resort.

Austin Peay Governors Basketball opens Canadian exhibition series Saturday
APSU Sports: Austin Peay Men’s Basketball
Toronto, Canada – For the first time in Austin Peay State University basketball history a team twice will be playing outside the United States during one season.
The first of those trips will be of the exhibition variety, starting this weekend when the Governors play three straight days in Toronto. Later in the fall, the Govs will head to Cancun for the final two games of the Triple Crown Cancun Challenge.

Austin Peay Governors Basketball’s 2012 Schedule features Two Tournaments and several early home games
APSU Sports: Austin Peay Men’s Baseball
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University men’s basketball schedule will feature two tournaments and several early home games along with the new Ohio Valley Conference divisional format for the 2012-13 season.
After opening the 2011-12 season with eight of their first nine games on the road, the Governors will have a more home-friendly slate this season. In fact, APSU will open at home for the first time since the 2003-04 season (Knoxville College) when they play host to Samford, Friday, November 9th.

Austin Peay Governors Basketball to participate in 2012 Cancun Challenge
APSU Sports: Austin Peay Men’s Basketball
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University men’s basketball team will participate in the 2012 Men’s Cancun Challenge in November.
The tournament field will include eight teams, divided into two divisions. Austin Peay will play in Mayan Division along with Gardner-Webb, Howard and Western Carolina. The Riviera Division will be comprised of DePaul, Iowa, Western Kentucky and Wichita State.
