Clarksville Police report Shirley Harris passes away from injuries sustained in College Street, 9th Street Collision

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Friday, September 5th 2013 at 9:34am, Officer S. Holman responded to a vehicle crash at the intersection of College Street and 9th Street.

Clarksville Police release additional information on Three Car Crash at Dunbar Cave Road and Warfield Boulevard

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Thursday, September 12th, 2013 at 10:18pm, Clarksville Police Officer L. Harris responded to a crash at SR-374 (Warfield Boulevard) and Dunbar Cave Road.

Ulysses Parker, Clarksville, was driving a gold Cadillac CTS south bound on Warfield Boulevard just south of Dunbar Cave Road.  Mr Parker’s vehicle crossed into the north bound travel lane for an unknown reason and struck a white Kia Rio driven by Lee Johnsonbaugh, Clarksville. «Read the rest of this article»

Clarksville Police report Three Car Crash at Dunbar Cave Road and Warfield Boulevard

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Thursday, September 12th, 2013 at 10:14am, the Clarksville Police Department responded to a three car crash at Dunbar Cave Road and Warfield Boulevard.

Two individuals were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center by LifeFlight and two were transported to Gateway Medical Center by EMS.

The crash is still under investigation. There is no further information at this time. Details will be released when received.

Clarksville Police investigate Fatality Crash on 101st Airborne Division Parkway

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On August 15th, 2012, around 5:45pm Clarksville Police reports there was a fatality crash on the 101st Division Parkway and Ringgold Road. There were three cars involved in the crash.

A 2011 GMC Arcadia driven by Alonso Tovar, 41, was traveling east on 101st, and attempted to make a left turn onto Ringgold Road, but failed to yield to a westbound 98 Honda Accord driven by Dae Kang, 64. «Read the rest of this article»

Clarksville Police Department releases name of Woman involved in Tuesday morning crash

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On June 19th, 2012, around 3:00am, a 21 year old pregnant woman was driving west on Ashland City Road, went off the roadway, and crashed into a cement culvert.

The name of the woman involved in the single car collision is Brooke Nycole Golden (W/F, DOB: 3-12-91; Given Address: 225 Millstone Circle, Clarksville, TN) and she is in stable condition.

Clarksville Police report 21 year old Pregnant Woman delivers Baby after Crashing Car on Ashland City Road

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On June 19th, 2012, around 3:00am, a 21 year old woman driving a Toyota Corolla was traveling west on Ashland City Road, went off the right side of the roadway for an unknown reason, traveled approximately 150 feet, hit a cement culvert, at which time the vehicle came to rest near Seven Mile Ferry Road.

The woman, who was nine months pregnant, and had a facial injuries was taken by ambulance to Gateway Medical Center and then transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center by Lifeflight.

Teen Drivers 50 Percent More Likely to Crash in First Month of Unsupervised Driving Than After First Year Behind the Wheel

 

In-Vehicle Cameras Capture First Months of Solo Driving

AAA Foundation for Traffic SafetyWashington, D.C. – According to a new study from the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, teen drivers are approximately 50 percent more likely to crash in the first month of driving than they are after a full year of experience driving on their own, and are nearly twice as likely to crash as they are after two full years of experience. 

Analyzing the crashes of new drivers in North Carolina, researchers found that three common mistakes—failure to reduce speed, inattention, and failure to yield – accounted for 57 percent of all crashes in which teens were at least partially responsible during their first month of licensed driving. «Read the rest of this article»

Vehicle Crashes into Patrol Car

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On October 15th, 2011 around 12:46am, a Ford F-150, driven by Jace-Devon Mitchell Smith, 22, was making a left turn from northbound, North Second Street onto southbound Riverside Drive and failed to yield to a Ford Crown Victoria patrol car, driven by Lt Chad Koyama, 33, Clarksville Police Department, traveling south on North Second Street and crashed into the driver side of the patrol car.

Morning Collision Sends One to the Hospital

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – An early morning crash sent one man to Vanderbilt by Lifeflight.

Around 5:46am, a Mercury Cougar driven by Christopher Brown, 21, of Clarksville was traveling west on Martin Luther King Parkway when a Nissan Xterra driven by Daniel O’Connor, 28, of Clarksville made a left turn off of eastbound Martin Luther King Parkway and collided with the Mercury in front of the I-24 westbound on ramp.

Clarksville Police release names from Sunday’s Drag Racing crash

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – The driver of the Honda Hybrid was Aaron Klein, 23 of Clarksville. The passenger’s name is Justin Golla, 24 (do not have an updated status on him).

The 2 year old female will be released from the hospital today. Klein is undergoing surgery but is stable.
