Fort Campbell receives donation of over 37,000 packages of cookies from Girl Scouts

 

Girl Scouts of Middle TennesseeNashville, TN – Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee (GSMIDTN) donated 37,444 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to Fort Campbell soldiers through its Gift of Caring program on March 17th. This donation amount was a 20.37% increase from last year’s gift.

Through Gift of Caring, Girl Scouts are able to show their appreciation for men and women in uniform or support those in need by giving them Girl Scout Cookies.

Annual tradition evolved from local service project in Oklahoma to invaluable business and economic literacy program for girls

Girl Scouts of Middle TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee (GSMIDTN) celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scout Cookie Program with this year’s cookie season, beginning December 26th, 2016.  

In recognition of the centennial, this year’s cookie program will feature the inclusion of a new cookie – the Girl Scout S’mores cookie.

Girl Scouts Donate Over 30,000 Packages of Cookies to Fort Campbell

 

Girl Scouts of Middle TennesseeNashville, TN – Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee (GSMIDTN) donated approximately 31,108 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to Fort Campbell soldiers through its Gift of Caring program on April 1st. This donation amount was a 28.52% increase from last year’s gift.

This year, Rah-Rah Raisins and Toffee-tastic will make their debut in Middle Tennessee. Rah-Rah Raisins take a delicious spin the classic oatmeal raisin cookie with the addition of Greek yogurt-flavored chunks. Toffee-tastic are the first Gluten-free cookie for Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee to offer. They are rich, buttery cookies packed with golden toffee bits bursting with flavor.

Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee Donate More Than 27,000 Packages of Cookies to Fort Campbell Soldiers

 

Girl ScoutsNashville, TN – Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee in partnership with Hugs for Our Soldiers delivered more than 27,000 packages of Girl Scout Cookies to soldiers at Fort Campbell on March 28th.

“We are excited to show our appreciation to our local service men and women through this cookie donation,” said Cathy Ratliff, Director of Product Programs at Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee. “About half of the cookies donated will be shipped to local soldiers deployed overseas and the rest will be distributed on base.”

Annual tradition evolved from local service project in Oklahoma to invaluable business and economic literacy program for girls

Girl ScoutsNashville, TN – Every year, Girl Scouts exercise and hone their business skills to sell approximately 200 million boxes of Girl Scout Cookies.

To achieve this extraordinary level of accomplishment, many girls design business cards, posters, newsletters and press kits to support their cookie program goals; they even make formal presentations to local businesses such as banks and local retailers.

The Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee (GSMT) will sell Girl Scout Cookies from January 1st – March 2nd. This is the twelfth year that GSMT will sell cookies for $3.50 a package.
